Preschool Screenings to be Held at Douglas Elementary

May 10 & 11 and June 2 & 3

Princeton Elementary School District will conduct a Community Wide Preschool Screening on May 10 & 11 and again on June 2 & 3. These screenings will be conducted at Douglas School, 220 East LaSalle Street, Princeton.

Children must be 3 or 4 years old before September 1, 2021 to participate in this screening. Children do not need to attend the screening. Parents will fill out forms about their child's Fine and Gross Motor Skills, Learning Skills, Speech/Language, Social Emotional, and Self-Help skills.

There is no charge for this screening, but appointments are required. Please call 815-875-6075 to schedule an appointment. Each appointment lasts approximately 45 minutes.

Preschool screening is required for all families who wish to have their child enrolled in the Bright Beginnings Pre-Kindergarten Program. However, any family may utilize this screening as a developmental check-up. Children currently enrolled in the Bright Beginnings preschool program do not need to be screened.

Families who are wanting their child in Bright Beginnings must provide proof of income at screening time (provide one of the following, preferably the first page of tax return or pay stubs, most recent W-2 or letter from employer). If you receive program assistance from WIC, SNAP,

TANF, SSI, CCAP or Medicaid, you will also need to provide proof.

Questions may be directed to 815-875-6075.
