Biodiversity in 2nd Grade

Animal Habitats

December 05, 2017

Mrs. Scott's 2nd graders made animal habitats.  After deciding what animal they wanted, each student designed their animal out of clay.  Then they researched their animal and found out things like where their animal lives, what it eats, what all it needs to live, and other various, interesting facts.  The relationship between where it lives and what all would be included in its habitat was a step up using the Next Generation Science Standards.  After presenting their habitats to the rest of the class, they were left out for display so everyone could ask questions and admire everyone's work.  Finally, their research papers were submitted for a class book to be published.  Great job S-2!!
