6th Grade School Supply List
2010-2011 School Year
The following is a list of school supplies needed for the 2910-2011 school year. Individual teachers may request additional items as needs arise. Please replenish supplies throughout the school year. An Assignment Notebook will be given to each child on the first day of attendance in August. Please label all items!
5 - spiral notebooks (assorted colors)
2 - large spiral notebooks (different colors/at leas 150+ pages for Math & English)
1 - sketchbook (9x12 for Art)
1 - set of drawing pencils for Art (HB - H-1, H-2, H-3, B-1, B-2, B-3)
1 - set of watercolors for Art (Prang - if possible)
2 - skeins of multi-colored yarn (for art)
1 - 3-ring medium size binder (science)
1 - pkg. loose leaf paper (science)
4 or more - blue or black ballpoint pens (no other colors)
4 - red ballpoint pens
12 - pencils
1 - set of colored pencils (at least 8 colors)
1 - package of highlighters (English/Literature with Mrs. Jaeger)
6 - two-pocket folders (at least five different colors)
1 - two-pocket folder with center prongs (for L.A. applications)
2 - large boxes of kleenex
8 oz. bottle of Elmer's glue
1 - 6" scissors (pointed)
pocket calculator
1 - ruler (in 12 inches:30 centimeters)
1 box of crayons (at least 16 different colors)
pencil bag (sturdy construction) - No boxes, please!
1 - set of markers (non-toxic) - minimum of 8 different colors (no permanent markers/Sharpies)
erasers
can of new tennis balls for P.E.
ear buds (Wal-Mart $3.00)
Last name beginning with A-K: disinfecting wipes
L-Z: 1 roll of paper towels
Tennis shoes worn to school can be used for gym. (Please be sure that any black sole shoes do not leave black marks on tile floors or gym floors.)
Bookbags with handle extensions or rollers are not allowed. Bookbags should be small enough to fit in a normal student locker.
