45 Pounds of Lifesavers!!
by Eileen Behrends
After a visit by Sergeant Drew McComber, Mrs. Devert had a great idea to send him some valentines. The valentine's were not just ordinary valentines they were Lifesaver valentines! The student body of Reagan collected Lifesaver candies and attached valentines to each roll with a message of thanks for saving lives. McComber will most likely share the 45 pounds of Lifesaver valentines with his battalion still in Afghanistan and with the injured soldiers, doctors, and nurses at Walter Reed Medical center. Thank you to all the students/families who donated the Lifesavers and ribbon to make these special valentines. We wish we could see Sergeant McComber's face when he opens the box!
