Dissection with Mrs. Davis
7th grade students at Logan Junior High eagerly anticipate the end of the year when they get to dissect the fetal pig. This year was no different! Following an extensive unit on the human body and its systems, students in Mrs. Davis's 7th grade science class participated in the dissection of a fetal pig.
Students learn a great deal about human anatomy through this dissection. What an exciting and educational opportunity for our students!
Students at Logan also have the opportunity to learn through 4
other dissections during the course of the year. This year students
dissected earthworms, grasshoppers, perch and frogs. Students are
able to compare and contrast body systems and organs of these
members of the animal kingdom.
