Keyboarding
5th grade students at Reagan Middle School participate in keyboarding two days a week for half an hour a day. This is the third year keyboarding has been offered to students at Reagan Middle School. Keyboarding is taught with the program Type to Learn 3. Students use key covers to hide the keys for proper memorization, and they practice proper posture.
There is no homework in keyboarding, but there are ways students can practice at home. There are keyboarding products available for purchase, such as Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing. There are also some websites that offer free practice and tutorials. A few websites you might check into are...
