Logan Junior High Students Vote for State Book Awards

The 2015 Bluestem and Rebecca Caudill Young Readers' Book Award voting took place on Friday, February 20th in the Logan Media Center. Students qualified by reading books from the state lists and passing the Reading Counts tests. The library was transformed into a "polling place" where students signed in, received a ballot, voted and turned in their vote to the ballot box. Celebrating Abraham Lincoln's Birthday!

Our first graders have been learning all about our 16th president. We read books and poems about Abe Lincoln. We measured how tall we are compared to Abraham who was 6 feet 4 inches tall. We wore black beards, made stove-pipe hats and penny medallions to celebrate his birthday on February 12! read more
